Viivi Varesvuo is a Helsinki-born Finnish artist whose path in art has evolved from engravings, paintings and dry pastels to ceramic sculptures.

Different surfaces and structures in nature, as well as landscapes bordering on abstraction, inspire Varesvuo’s art. The combination of the real and the abstract is a recognizable feature in both her paintings and sculptures. Her working process is intuitive, and her vision is open—intense yet gentle.
